The Indian Premier League which is popularly known as the IPL is one of the biggest cricketing tournaments in the whole world. It is a domestic 20 overs cricket tournament which is organized by the Board of Cricket Corporation India (BCCI). The 2022 season of this tournament will be exciting to watch ad two new teams are coming into this tournament. Before this year 8 teams were competing for the trophy and from this year it has become 10 teams. In the article, we are going to give all the details about this IPL 2022 auction.

- Delhi Capital (Formerly known as Delhi Daredevils)
- Royal Challengers Bangalore ( Played in 3 Finals but never became the Champion)
- Rajasthan Royals (First ever IPL Champion)
- Sunrisers Hyderabad (Formerly known as Deccan Chargers)
- Punjab Kings (Formerly Known as Kings XI Punjab)
The two new teams that will be joining the tournament this season are as follows:
- Gujarat Titans (New team bought in 7260 Crore INR)
- Lucknow Super Giants (New team bought in 5250 Crore INR)
The total amount that is the purse for the teams in this auction is 90 crore.

The date and time of the IPL 2022 auction
It was announced by BCCI officially on 23rd in December 2021 that the auction of IPL 2022 will be held on the 12th of February and the 13th of the same month in the year 2022 in Bengaluru. IPL 2022 Auction Live Streaming will be start on Star Sports at 11:00 am.
